Description
A quick and easy one-pan version of the classic Chinese take-out dish, featuring tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Slice beef thinly against the grain.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
- Toss beef in half of the sauce mixture and let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pan over high heat. Cook beef for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add broccoli to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
- Return beef to the pan. Add remaining sauce.
- Mix cornstarch with water and pour into the pan. Stir until sauce thickens.
- Serve hot over rice.
Notes
- Slice beef while partially frozen for easier cutting.
- Adjust sauce sweetness with more or less brown sugar.
- For extra spice, add red pepper flakes.
